Between 2019 and 2023, women representation in UK VC fell flat at only 30% and those women are twice as likely as men to be in non-investment positions (The Equity Record 2023, Diversity VC). It is unsuprising that these statistics percolate with only 1.8% of capital going to women founders in Europe (European Women in VC, 2023). So we're on a mission to change the status quo by launching Women in BioCapital, a community of women investors in the life science ecosystem from across the UK and beyond, focused on empowerment and allyship.
