Between 2019 and 2023, women representation in UK VC fell flat at only 30% and those women are twice as likely as men to be in non-investment positions (The Equity Record 2023, Diversity VC). It is unsurprising that these statistics percolate with only 1.8% of capital going to women founders in Europe (European Women in VC, 2023). So we're on a mission to change the status quo by launching Women in BioCapital, a community of women investors in the life science ecosystem from across the UK and beyond, focused on empowerment and allyship. We are launching this initiative with an exclusive dinner for early members of Women in BioCapital.
